Create a Gratifying Career in Politics While Making a Practical & Existing Impact on Society

Politics majors wishing to work in local, state or national government where practical policy-making and enforcement is the cornerstone of their career should consider Public Administration. The Public Administration Concentration prepares you for graduate school or entry level positions at government agencies where addressing societal issues begins with practical solutions.

Courses in the Public Administration concentration include Survey of American History II, Principles of Management, and Social Problems. The education in this concentration centers on the practicality of implementing public programs by designing and achieving public institutional objectives while investing in and managing resources. Foundationally, students learn the history of politics and how public administration plays a role in political society.

The broad-based approach to the study of politics offered by our Politics degree program with a concentration in Public Administration is valued by potential employers because it provides students with a broad yet comprehensive education and practice in political systems, communications, analytical thinking, and business management.
