Students and faculty from Catawba College's Theatre Arts Department attended the United States Institute of Theatre Technologies (USITT) Conference in Phoenix, Ariz. March 13-17.

The conference offered workshops, professional development, networking opportunities and summer internship interviews for participating students. Some of the workshops included Sketch Up & Perspective: A Quick Lesson in Digital Drawing, Management of Corporate Business TheatricalEvents, Can This Go down the Drain? What You Need to Know about Waste Management, Traditional Vietnamese Water Puppets, Native American Culture in Theatrical Designs, and Rotational Motion.

Participating students included seniors Joey Yow of High Point and Kaitlyn Gemmel of Micanopy, Fla.; juniors Will Randall of Tifton, Ga., and Jon Jordan of Virginia Beach, Va., and sophomore Sean Williams of Suffolk, Va. Faculty members attending the conference included Theatre Arts Professors Eric Abbott, David Pulliam and Christopher Zink.

Students and faculty from Catawba College's Theatre Arts Department attended the United States Institute of Theatre Technologies (USITT) Conference in Phoenix, Ariz. March 13-17.

The conference offered workshops, professional development, networking opportunities and summer internship interviews for participating students.
