Pamela L. Thompson, an associate professor of business and information systems, has accepted a two-year appointment as chair of Catawba College's Ralph E. Ketner School of Business, effective with the 2006-2007 academic year.

Thompson joined the College in 1991 and served as interim chair of the Ketner School of Business during the spring 2006 semester. She holds both a bachelor of business administration degree and an M.B.A. degree from James Madison University. She is currently completing her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
