Ballet Pensacola will return to the Catawba College campus for The Outrageous Dance Project 2.0 this week!  While in residency, Catawba alumnus and Ballet Pensacola artistic director, Richard Steinert ’81, will be offering a dance masterclass from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, on the Keppel Auditorium stage in the Robertson College-Community Center on campus.

The workshop is free and open to any student or community member who would like to dance or observe. Please register with Catawba Theatre Arts Professor Meredith Fox via e-mail at mkfox12@catawba.edu to reserve your slot if you plan to dance so plans can be made for the appropriate number of individuals.

This dance masterclass occurs before the opening night performance of The Outrageous Dance Project (ODP) which begins at 7:30 p.m. on the evening of April 20. Performances of The ODP continue at 7:30 p.m. each evening through Saturday, April 23.

In addition to the dance masterclass and the evening performances of The ODP, a free Friday Forum will be offered between 4 and 5 p.m. on Friday, April 22, also on the Keppel Auditorium stage. During this round table discussion, information about the operations of the Ballet Pensacola and its ODP grant program will be offered to members of Catawba and Salisbury communities. Come learn about how this organization operates on a day-to-day basis from the artistic to administrative to technical sides, and how it collaborates with other organizations to produce The Outrageous Dance Project grant program.

This Friday Forum is open to all Catawba and Salisbury community members.
