Dr. Joe Poston, an Associate Professor of Biology at Catawba College, has been appointed by the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission as an At-Large Conservation Stakeholder Affiliate on the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee.  Poston’s appointment is for three years and will expire on June 30, 2020.

Poston attended his first meeting as a member of the Nongame Wildlife Advisory Committee on August 10 at the Wildlife Resources Commission headquarters in Raleigh.

Poston, who earned his Ph.D. in Ecology from the UNC Chapel Hill, is interested in Animal Behavior, Ornithology, and Ecology.  He joined the faculty at Catawba in 2000, serving first as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Biology Department, before moving to a tenure track faculty position.
