In May of 2008, Dr. John B. Green, Jr., Associate Professor of Marketing in Catawba College's Ketner School of Business, traveled to China with a group of Catawba students and members of the local community. They visited Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, and points in between, exploring the culture and business environment of this emerging Asian giant.

At the next Catawba College Community Forum at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, Dr. Green and Catawba student Bradley Ross will report on the group's experiences. Mr. Ross has prepared a Power Point slide presentation to reproduce some sights from within the world’s fastest growing economy. Dr. Green's presentation will touch generally on economic opportunities in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) as well as in other, smaller, but also rapidly growing economic markets around the globe.

Mr. Ross is a Catawba senior from Freeland, Maryland, majoring in Business Administration. Dr. Green earned his bachelor's degree from Providence College, an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, and his Ph.D. from Warwick University, one of the leading universities in the United Kingdom.

Join us on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in Tom Smith Auditorium of Ralph W. Ketner Hall on the campus of Catawba College for a close look at China and other emerging markets around the world. Admission, as always, is free.
