Catawba College begins its new academic year with a change in leadership on its Board of Trustees.

William “Bill” Graham ’83 of Salisbury, a partner in the Salisbury-based law firm of Wallace & Graham, was elected chair of the Board of Trustees at the Trustees’ April 2017 meeting.  He replaces Darlene Landis Ball ’62, a retired Corporate Vice President of E-Business Development with Burlington Industries, who continues her service on the Board as immediate past chair.

Other officers on the Catawba College Board of Trustees include Robert B. Arnold, Jr. ’71 of Hickory, vice chair, a retired furniture manufacturer who now works in Sales and Consulting for textile companies selling to furniture manufacturers; Deborah Messinger ’74 of Salisbury, secretary, a local community advocate for diversity, inclusion and social justice, and an active volunteer; and Thomas E. Burdette ’73 of Clifton, Va., treasurer, a CPA and founder and managing member of a regional accounting firm based in Fairfax, Va.
