Dr. Janice Fuller, Writer-in-Residence and Professor of English at Catawba College, has just had her poem "Hiraeth" (based on a Welsh word meaning longing) accepted for publication in Kakalak 2014, an annual magazine for North and South Carolina poets.

Fuller's fourth collection of poetry entitled On the Bevel was published in March of this year by Cinnamon Press in Wales. In May and June, Fuller also traveled in the United Kingdom for a launch of the book and a reading tour that included Poetry Café in London; Palas Print in Bangor, Wales; and the Dylan Thomas Summer School at the University of Wales Trinity St. David.

An independent press, Cinnamon has published books from Wales, Scotland, England Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, the US, and China. Their books have won the Wales Book of the Year awarded by Literature Wales and the Sundial Scottish Arts Best First Book of the Year.
