Catawba's SNCAE Receives Multiple Awards at Spring Conference

Catawba's prospective teachers club, the SNCAE, returned from the spring 2015 conference with multiple awards and an election of one of its members to the North Carolina SNCAE.

Catawba's SNCAE created a commercial as part of a video challenge and won 2nd place for their entry.

The SNCAE also brought home the following awards:

  • Red Ribbon status
  • N.C. Outstanding Communication Award
  • N.C. Outstanding Chapter Advisor Award

Courtney Foster, current SNCAE President for the 2014-2015 academic year, was elected North Carolina SNCAE 2015-16 President-Elect.

The SNCAE is open to any student majoring or minoring in education. The club holds regular meetings, which are devoted to the professional and social enrichment of its members and to the advancement and refinement of the profession. The club also sponsors many activities and fundraisers throughout the year.
