Fifteen Catawba music students will perform as part of the gospel choir accompanying American Idol finalist and vocal phoneme Jessica Sanchez at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, September 5th at 7:50pm. ;
On the final night of the convention, 2006 graduate and current Catawba Young Artist in Residence Dennis Reed will appear with his music and dance ensemble, Inspire the Fire (ITF). The group will perform as part of a "tribute to the dynamic convention host state" headlined by James Taylor that leads up the renomination of President Obama.
