The public is invited to attend the second in the Catawba College Tuesday Music 515 performances for the spring semester at 5:15 p.m. March 14, 2006 in the Omwake Dearborn Chapel on campus.

"The Ives of March," a program of music by American composer Charles Ives, will feature the Catawba College Student Wind Ensemble, directed by Dr. Steve Etters, a professor of music. The concert will be in the form of a lecture/performance, wherein Dr. Etters will discuss the music and its enigmatic Experimentalist composer.

The final performance of the series this spring is slated April 11. It will be a tribute to Mozart in his 250th anniversary year. Featuring members of the Catawba Department of Music and the Catawba Brass, it will include music for piano, for brass ensemble, and for French horn with piano accompaniment.

The Tuesday Music 515 Series is sponsored by the Catawba Music Department, with Rosemary Kinard serving as program coordinator. It is a Concert Series spotlighting area musicians in brief programs on the second Tuesday of the month, beginning at 5:15 p.m. and lasting for approximately 30 minutes. All performances are free and open to the public.
