Dr. Sanford Silverburg, professor and chair of the political science department at Catawba College, will lecture Monday, October 10 and Tuesday, October 11 at the Andrews Valley Experience (ave!) in Andrews, N.C.    

Silverburg’s lecture at 7 p.m. on October 10 is entitled “Protection and Civil Liberties,” and his lecture at 2 p.m. on October 11 is “Culture Wars in America.”  

Silverburg is a specialist in international relations and international law as well as the government and politics of the Middle East.   He has published and lectured internationally and has broad experience with governmental military affairs.

He will lecture on “Threats to American Security – Domestic and Foreign,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11; “American Media – Fair and Balanced?” at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12; and “Trouble in the World and U.S. Policy” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12.
