Dr. Sanford Silverburg, a Catawba College professor of political science, has had a paper accepted for presentation at an international conference, scheduled Feb. 22-23, 2007 in Brussels.   The conference is titled Law and Economic Development: Towards Constructive Engagement in the Middle East.

Silverburg, who holds a Ph.D. in international relations from The American University in Washington, D.C., is a specialist in Middle Eastern politics and Arab/Israeli Relations.   He has written many articles on the Arab-Israeli conflict in the dimension of international law.   He is the editor of “Palestine and International Law" and serves on the editorial boards of a number of professional journals.
