Dr. Sanford Silverburg, professor and chair of Political Science at Catawba College, is writing an article, “American Israel Political Affairs Committee (AIPAC),” for the Encyclopedia of the Modern World. The Encyclopedia will be published by Oxford University Press.  

Silverburg, who holds a Ph.D. in international relations from The American University in Washington, D.C., is a specialist in Middle Eastern politics and Arab/Israeli Relations.   He has written many articles on the Arab-Israeli conflict in the dimension of international law.   He is the editor of “Palestine and International Law,” and on the editorial boards of a number of professional journals.
