Adam Rapp's "Nocturne" will be presented by Catawba College first-year and transfer students Oct. 28-31 in the Florence Busby Corriher Theatre on campus. This Blue Masque production runs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 28-30, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.

In this student-directed performance, students new to Catawba explore a haunting story of tragedy, grief and what happens when you pick yourself up and re-enter the world. Rapp's unique tale is, according to the Associated Press, considered "a startling, unnerving work of art that fiercely pushes the boundaries of theatre."

The student director of the production is senior Carrie Foster of Baltimore, Md. Cast members include Aaron Alderman of Durham; Allison Andrews of Sherrills Ford; TyNia Brandon of Charlotte; Christian Barringer of China Grove; Chelsea Boulton of Monroe; Bailey Buckner of Johns Island, S.C.; Jordan Clifton of Garner; Jura Davis of Charlotte; Brianna Gallagher of Indian Trail; Ashley Hood of China Grove; Ashley Jackson of University Place, Wash.; Ryan Kelly of High Point; Jacquelyn Loy of Burlington; Alex McCall of Statesville; Leah Powers of Thomson, Ga.; and Chadeon Proctor of Indian Trail.

Upperclassman supporting the production include Katie Johnson of Myersville, Md. and Katie Higgins of Durham, Stage Management; Liz Parsons of Mocksville, Set Design; Adam Stolzenberg of Cornelius, Lighting Design; Brooke Beall of Raleigh, Costume Design; Megan Fields of Moore, S.C., Hair and Makeup Design; Donna Steele of Charlotte, Technician; and Adam Weiner of Cherry Hill, N.J., Board Operator.

Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and all students. Please be aware the production includes images of violence and strong language. For more information, call the Box Office at (704) 637-4481.
