William Lacy Swing, a 1956 alumnus and six-time U.S. Ambassador, will be honored on June 26 by the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) for his many contributions and lifetime of public service.

Swing delivered the homily at the Service at the 2012 Commencement ceremony and is a native of Lexington. Swing now lives in Geneva, Switzerland, where he serves as the Director General of the International Organization for Migration.
