The SNCAE Benefit Concert hosted on the Catawba College campus in Goodman Gymnasium on Saturday, March 24 was a successful event. According to Catawba's SNCAE advisor and director of Catawba's Curriculum Materials Center, Amanda Bosch, "The performers were excellent, booths were fun and best of all, we had a total of 387 school supplies donated."

K-12 students in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools will be the beneficiaries of the school supplies that were donated. Six boxes of school supplies were delivered by Catawba's SNCAE members to Communities in School the week following the event. These supplies will be used by Rowan-Salisbury Schools students during the 2012-2013 academic year.

The benefit concert, which featured Christian Rock band, Grace Reigns Down of Greensboro, was funded by a $1,000 CLASS grant that the Catawba SNCAE applied for and was awarded.  Admission to the concert was open to those who donated one school supply to attend.
