Other Programs & CentersPlease join Catawba College First-Year students and their First-Year Experience professors and peer mentors on Tuesday, March 24 at noon in Keppel Auditorium for a free lecture with JIM WOOTEN, ABC News correspondent and author of "We Are All the Same." Reservations are not required.

"We Are All the Same" was Catawba's 2008 common summer reading and one of the major texts in the First-Year Experience, used to illuminate the societal, personal, and political issues resulting from Globalization. Having its author Jim Wooten on Catawba's campus is an opportunity that begs to be shared with a broader audience. Wooten will provide his first-hand insights on the AIDS crisis in South Africa. His book is special because it focuses on the sad and short life of one brave little boy and his illness, and how the remnants of Apartheid in this boy's country prevent equitable and effective treatment of AIDS victims.

If you have questions, contact the Catawba College Public Relations Office at (704) 637-4393.
