Alpha Psi Omega Students Use April 30th Intimidators' Game as Fundraiser

Catawba College's theatre honor society, Alpha Psi Omega, is raising funds by selling tickets to the Thursday, April 30th home game of the Kannapolis Intimidators. Members of the Catawba Singers, who performed last month at Carnegie Hall in New York City, will also be singing the National Anthem at this game under the direction of Professor Paul E. Oakley.

The Intimidators' game against the Lake County Captains starts at 7:05 p.m. on April 30th at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Tickets are $6 and available for purchase from any of the Alpha Psi Omega members, or at the stadium. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Alpha Psi Omega.

Members of Catawba's chapter of Alpha Psi Omega include Caitlin Springs, Caitlin Becka, Sara Johnson, Jared Kenish, Vanessa Malanga, Aaron Ganas, Besty Foster, Meggie Bumgarner, Justin Lewis, Claire Alston, Mike Matthias, Amanda Lederer, Nicole Bowles and Nicole Durant. Advisor ot the organization is Theatre Arts Professor David Pulliam. The 2008-2009 officers include Nicole Bowles, president; Nicole Lee Durant, vice-president; and Amanda Lederer, secretary & treasurer.
