The national award recognizes a NOBCChE-affiliated woman in the chemical sciences and engineering for leadership, scientific achievement, innovation, and community service that broaden participation in those fields.
Saner will be honored during the 53rd NOBCChE Annual Awards Ceremony and Reception at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at the First Financial Convention Center in Cincinnati.
As part of the recognition, Saner delivered a presentation during the Winifred Burks-Houck Luncheon on Monday, Sept. 21. She also gave a technical presentation during a Master Scientist session later that evening.
Saner joined the Catawba faculty in 2015. In addition to teaching chemistry, she founded the Science and Mathematics Academic Resource Center, which provides academic support and resources for Catawba students studying science and mathematics. Earlier this year, she was named an American Council on Education Fellow for the 2026-27 academic year.
