Zac Smith is a graduate student currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Catawba College. His experiences include working with college students, both traditional and non-traditional, supporting concerns such as anxiety, life transitions, and school-life balance.

Zac utilizes a person-centered approach grounded in choice theory and reality therapy, emphasizing that individuals are the experts of their own lives and have the capacity to create meaningful change. He incorporates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and the WDEP system to help clients identify goals and develop actionable plans for growth. He aspires to empower clients to find deeper meaning in their academic, personal, and career paths.

Outside of his academic work, Zac enjoys playing video games, spending time outside with his wife, and watching any genre of film.
