Please join us this Wednesday, September 18 at 6:30pm in Tom Smith Auditorium for a special event with visiting artist and teacher Antar Fierce. He will be discussing the history of style writing (including graffiti, street art, and public art) and his experience as a graffiti-style artist.
Fierce is a dynamic teaching artist that has over 20 years of experience as an instructor and more than 30 years of experience as a Graffiti Style Writer. In the classroom, he takes an authentic approach to teaching, combining hands-on experience with the history of this often misunderstood art form. As an artist, he creates custom traditional graffiti-style artwork on a multitude of surfaces and sizes for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Fierce was born and raised in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York, in 1971. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1989 to attend Clark Atlanta University, and currently lives in the City of South Fulton, Georgia, with his wife and children.
