  Catawba Featured in the 2010 Edition of Princeton Review's Best 371 Colleges
Best CollegesCatawba College is one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company features the school in the new 2010 edition of its popular guidebook, "The Best 371 Colleges".

Only about 15% of America's 2,500 four-year colleges and two Canadian colleges are profiled in the book, which is The Princeton Review's flagship annual college guide. Read more »

Blue Masque Hall of Fame to Induct Four
Four outstanding individuals from Catawba's rich theatre tradition will be inducted into the Blue Masque Hall of Fame during Homecoming Weekend.

Those being honored for their meritorious life in theatre are: Nina Louise Tucker, 1944 Catawba alumna, retired college registrar and long time ambassador for the Blue Masque; David H. McCorkle, 1963 theatre graduate, former New York actor, and current creative drama professional; James R. (Epp) Epperson, retired Catawba School of Performing Arts dean, theatre arts chair, and Jefferson-Pilot professor of theatre arts; and Mark Fincannon, 1980 theatre graduate, motion picture and television casting executive, and Emmy Award winner.   Less is MoreCenter for the Environment Hosts
"Less Is More" Dinner & Book Signing

A new book titled Less Is More, features an essay by Dr. John Wear, executive director for Catawba's Center for the Environment. Co-editor and author of the book, Wanda Urbanska, will join Wear on campus for a dinner and book signing event on August 20th. Tickets to the event may be purchased online.

Catawba Supports Troops With A Taste of Home
Care PackagesAs the media shifted focus, it wasn't long before public awareness about U.S. troops serving in war zones dwindled, resulting in a scarcity of care packages and letters from home for service men and women. Catawba's Office of Student Affairs rallied the college and local community to respond in support of a battalion serving in Afghanistan.

Students Win Scholarships As Finalists in National Songwriting Competition
Not one, not two, but three Catawba College students have been selected as finalists in the 12th annual John Lennon Songwriting Contest. This brings to five the number of Catawba students who have placed either first, second or third in the Lennon competition in the past four years, an unparalleled feat in a contest that draws thousands of entries each year from student songwriters across the country.
