In keeping with its mission, the Lilly Center for Vocation and Values provides financial assistance for students preparing themselves for lives of service, either in the Christian ministry or in other fields of endeavor.
Lilly Scholars receive up to $10,000 each year for their junior and senior years of study at Catawba. The loan is completely forgiven after students successfully complete one academic year at an accredited Christian seminary.
Lilly Fellows are promising students who declare a major in Religion and Philosophy or in a related field which can prepare them for some form of professional ministerial service and meet other selected criteria. They receive a forgivable loan of $2,000 per semester over the life of the award toward their tuition at Catawba College.
Year of Inquiry awards are $1,000 per semester toward Catawba College tuition for qualified students who are interested in the ministry as a career but may still be undecided. Year of Inquiry students meet monthly with a faculty mentor to discuss vocation and the ministry.
