    Living/Learning Community (LLC) First-Year Seminar (GEN 1200)

The First-Year Seminar Program helps students make a smooth transition from high school to college, introduces students to the academic values of the Catawba College community, and facilitates the development of strong bonds among students and between students and faculty. Students may choose among Seminar sections that feature as many as 16 different topics; however, every section emphasizes the development of critical reading and writing skills. The Seminar instructor serves as the academic adviser for the students in her/his section.
