9:00am — Family Worship Service
Omwake-Dearborn Chapel
The worship service for Family Weekend will center around the theme of the role of prayer in our lives. In addition to the music provided by the student choirs and a brief message from Catawba College Chaplain, the Reverend Dr. Kenneth Clapp, Author Donna Jordan will share her experience as the mother of a Catawba College student and one who relied upon prayer as she dealt with the good and the difficult times of that college experience.
Mrs. Jordan, whose book, "Surround Your College Child with Prayer," is the mother of 2010 Catawba alumnus, Jonathan Jordan. Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree while his mother was completing her bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in human services counseling at Regent University.
Following the worship service, Mrs. Jordan will be available during the continental breakfast in the Corriher-Linn-Black Library if persons wish to speak with her or wish to have a copy of her book signed. - Following Worship Service — Continental Breakfast
