Center for the EnvironmentCatawba College will launch a new Environmental Stewards and Scholars Scholarship Program this fall through the college's Center for the Environment.

These scholarships are being offered in addition to the academic scholarships the college currently offers to students majoring in one of the four environmental degree programs: Environmental Education, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or Sustainable Business and Community Development.

Students who want to become further engaged in the many activities involving environmental stewardship may apply for the new scholarships through the Environmental Stewards and Scholars Program.

For more information or to apply for the scholarships, individuals may visit www.CenterForTheEnvironment.org, contact the Center for the Environment at (704) 637-4727 or e-mail envscholar@catawba.edu.

The Center for the Environment at Catawba College was founded in 1996 to provide education and outreach centered on prevalent environmental challenges and to foster community-oriented sustainable solutions that can serve as a model for programs throughout the country. For more information, visit www.CenterForTheEnvironment.org or www.CampaignForCleanAir.org.
