The Catawba College Community Music Program is now enrolling students for spring classes that begin the week of January 24. Since 1984, the program has provided a variety of quality musical experiences including private lessons, music classes and performance opportunities to help students of all ages and abilities in Salisbury and the surrounding areas develop lifelong musical foundations and skills.

New classes offered include Group Guitar for Young Beginners (Level I) on Mondays from 3:30-4:20 p.m. and Level II from 4:30-5:20 p.m.; Group Piano for Young Beginners on Thursdays from 4-4:50 p.m. and Adult Beginners (ages 14 and above) 5:00-5:50 p.m.; Group Suzuki Violin for Young Beginners on Thursdays from 4:00-4:50 p.m.; Intro to Music Recording on Tuesdays from 4:30-5:20 p.m.; and Group Flute on Fridays from 4-4:50 p.m.

Other classes include Family Music (birth-age 5) on Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. or Thursdays at 6 p.m.; Youth Chorale on Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m.; Children's Chorale on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.; Broadway Singing Lessons on Thursdays from 4:10-5:00 p.m.; and Pre-Teen Voice Class on Thursdays from 5:00-5:50 p.m. Private and semi-private lessons for almost any instrument and for any age are also available!
