The Collegiate Recycling Council was founded in 1990 by a group of concerned collegiate recycling coordinators with the goal of sharing information to develop more comprehensive and supportive programs across North and South Carolina. Since that time, the CRC has hosted eight conferences and successfully grown to become a well-respected organization in the recycling community. In January of this year we held a 3 day conference in Brown Summit, NC that was well received and well attended (even with the snow). Nov 8-9 we held another successful conference in Charleston, South Carolina with over 45 attendees at MUSC.
We meet 6 times a year, once at the CRA March conference and at schools in NC and SC throughout the year. We had a phone conference call in May, meeting in July at East Carolina University, in September at Clemson University and on January 24th, 2008 we will meet at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC.
