Some Catawba College Theatre Arts students and productions were winners in the 2006-2007 Metrolina Theatre Awards. The fourth annual awards ceremony was held Sept. 16th at McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square in Charlotte.

Catawba winners in various categories include:

• Outstanding Production:  "The Pillowman"
• Outstanding Performance by an Actor – Male: senior Daniel S. Hines of Yorktown, Va., as Katurian Katurian in "The Pillowman"
• Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor – Male: senior Jeremy S. Kinser of Matthews as Michal Katurian in "The Pillowman"
• Outstanding Cameo Performance: junior Jared S. Kenish of Glassboro, N.J., as The Jolly Wicket in "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying."
• Outstanding Musical Direction: Catawba Theatre Arts Adjunct Laurie Klaus of Salisbury for "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying"
