Argus Insurance, a wholly owned subsidiary of High Point Bank and Trust Company, has hired Miles Gurley as a Commercial Insurance Producer in the High Point office. High Point Bank acquired Argus Insurance in December 2006.

Before joining Argus Insurance, Gurley worked for six years for Gurley Business Forms, a custom-printing business owned by his family.

Gurley holds both his property and casualty license, as well as his life and health license. He works with both commercial clients and individuals.

Gurley, 29, is a life-long resident of High Point. He has volunteered with the Special Olympics and the Senior Olympics. He is a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he is an active volunteer.

Gurley is a graduate of Ledford High School in Thomasville. He graduated from Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C., in 2001 with degrees in recreational management and marketing.
