Catawba College's Dance Team will sponsor a Charity Showcase May 6 and local dance teams, whose members are age 15 and up, are invited to participate. The event will be held in Goodman Gymnasium on campus and teams have until April 22 to register.

Catawba College Dance Team members include senior Tiffany Cox of O'Fallon, Ill.; sophomore Sara Cafazza of Midlothian, Va.; sophomore April Rummage of Albemarle; sophomore Sara Reeves of Pilot Mountain; junior Ashleigh Herndon of Conway, S.C.; sophomore Betsy Foster of Baltimore, Md.; freshman Jared Kenish of Glassboro, N.J.; freshman Jessica Barker of Tampa, Fla.; junior Jessica Taige of Wauwatosa, Wis.; and senior Briana Jill "Bree" Raymond of Spring Hill, Fla.. Catawba College 2005 graduate Courtney Thurston of Athens, Pa., is choreographer and event planner for the team.

The cost for teams to participate is $1 per team member per dance and teams must register by April 22. To register, contact Courtney Thurston at 607-857-0901 or Tiffany Cox at 704-637-4172. Proceeds will benefit Godstock (www.godstock.org) which provides financial and spiritual support to chronically ill children and their families.
