A full-featured email/calendaring system was installed over the holiday break. To get started using it, click on the WEBMAIL icon above (on the Catawba homepage.) To view an online tutorial about using WEBMAIL, go to the Documents tab in CatLink. Look in your Inbox for an email message from Computer Services with more details about the new system.

Students, faculty, and staff now have access to a new e-mail system which is the industry standard.  Faculty and staff may now use Microsoft Outlook for e-mail and other functions that are a part of this product; and students have access to a Scalix software product that emulates Outlook for their e-mail services.

Persons with Catawba College computer accounts can access the e-mail system from any computer that has Internet access through the Webmail icon on the Catawba College home page or through their personal CatLink accounts.

The new system, installed as a response to dissatisfaction with the old e-mail system, was provided by generous trustee support and the advice and counsel of the Information Technology Committee of the Trustees, chaired by Dan Bross ‘71, Director of Business Affairs and Policy Communication with Microsoft Corporation.
