Catawba College Political Science Professor to Participate in Roundtable on Federalism
J. Michael Bitzer, assistant professor of political science at Catawba College, will be among the North Carolina scholars and public officials invited to participate in a roundtable on the theme of “Legislative and Executive Governance in Federal Countries” May 22 at Wake Forest University.
Catawba College Professor Delivers Paper at Conference
Dr. Aaron Butler, a member of the English Department faculty at Catawba College, attended the West Virginia Shakespeare and Renaissance Association Conference April 22. While there, he also delivered a paper, “Gift of the Magus: Mystical Glasses in Renaissance Drama.”
Catawba College Mathematics Professors and Students Attend Meeting
Four faculty members and five students from the Catawba College Mathematics Department attended the Southeastern Section of the Mathematical Association of America meeting held in Clarksville, Tenn. March 26-27.
Catawba College Professor Attends Shakespearean Association Meeting
Dr. Bethany Sinnott, a professor of English and chair of the English Department at Catawba College, attended the Shakespeare Association of America annual meeting held April 8-10 in New Orleans. While there, she participated in a seminar on Shakespeare and the American South.
Catawba College Faculty Members Receive Summer Stipends
Some members of the Catawba College faculty have recently been notified that they will receive summer block stipends in varying amounts to pursue scholarly and academic study projects.
