Food for Thought at Spring Convocation: WHO ARE YOU?
Spring ConvocationSome members of the Catawba College community brought a high school photo of themselves as they gathered in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel for the spring semester Opening Convocation on Thursday, January 21. The Office of the Provost had sent out an e-mail in advance requesting that faculty, staff and students bring such an image, and many wondered why.

Architect and author of The Not So Big House, and The Not So Big Life, has appeared on Oprah, Charlie Rose, and North Carolina Now and been featured in USA Today. Fast Company named her to their debut list of "Fast 50 innovators" whose achievements have helped change society. Event details »
   
Berg March 18 Brady Author's Symposium: Author Elizabeth Berg
New York Times bestselling author, her works include Durable Goods, Open House, Talk Before Sleep, Joy School, and The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted among others. Sports Hall of Fame to Induct Four
The 2010 Class to be inducted on Saturday, May 1st includes Reid Bradshaw '67 (Football and former Head Coach and AD at South Rowan HS), David Bennett (Head Football Coach here 1995-2001), Kevin Sloan '88 (Soccer) and Jowita Sokolowska '97 (Women's Basketball). Our Hall of Fame Weekend will feature our annual Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury on Friday, April 30th at 1 pm and the Induction Ceremony will be Saturday, May 1st at noon in the Kirkland Lobby of Goodman Gymnasium. Tickets for the induction are $15 per person and are available through the Development Office, (704) 637-4394, or contact Gordon Kirkland at gakirkla@catawba.edu. This is the 33rd year for the Hall of Fame and the inclusion of these four newest bring the total in the Hall to 157.

Want your name on the list? The Pre-Honor Roll Press Proof for the 2009-2010 President's Honor Roll of Donors will be going out in March.
