Food for Thought at Spring Convocation: WHO ARE YOU?
 Some members of the Catawba College community brought a high school photo of themselves as they gathered in Omwake-Dearborn Chapel for the spring semester Opening Convocation on Thursday, January 21. The Office of the Provost had sent out an e-mail in advance requesting that faculty, staff and students bring such an image, and many wondered why.

Sports Hall of Fame to Induct Four
The 2010 Class to be inducted on Saturday, May 1st includes Reid Bradshaw '67 (Football and former Head Coach and AD at South Rowan HS), David Bennett (Head Football Coach here 1995-2001), Kevin Sloan '88 (Soccer) and Jowita Sokolowska '97 (Women's Basketball). Our Hall of Fame Weekend will feature our annual Golf Tournament at the Country Club of Salisbury on Friday, April 30th at 1 pm and the Induction Ceremony will be Saturday, May 1st at noon in the Kirkland Lobby of Goodman Gymnasium. Tickets for the induction are $15 per person and are available through the Development Office, (704) 637-4394, or contact Gordon Kirkland at gakirkla@catawba.edu.
This is the 33rd year for the Hall of Fame and the inclusion of these four newest bring the total in the Hall to 157. |
