Blog: Catawba Singers Take on Europe

Adult Traveler Rose Ann Pannell of Salisbury
  1. What was your favorite experience on this trip?
“My favorite meaningful experience would have to be the affirmation that music is truly the universal language.  Witnessing the changes in people go from halting, reserved to warm, open and most appreciative from the second the music began.”

  2. How has your perspective changed on this trip?
“This trip has changed my perspective of the world back to feeling that there are more people out there that are good, caring and non-destructive.  They are more like the average American and not all foreigners or terrorists who hate Americans.  Thank you for giving me the feeling of innocence back.”

  3. What have you learned through your experiences?
“One of the things I have learned on this trip is where we (the U.S.) is going with our banking system which is one assistant and 20 ATMs per building.  Tellers will be a thing of the past.  Europeans appear to be more skillful drivers – we never saw a single accident or the middle finger!”
