Brittany Bland is a senior from Alpharetta, Ga.
She is a theater major working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree and has dreams of becoming a scenic artist after she has graduated. This will be her second time going to London, the first was while on the way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. This trip is a wonderful chance for her to experience everything she did not get too the time around. She hopes to make friends while wandering through the streets of London like a gypsy and to see as many great theatrical works as possible. |

Caitlyn Garrison is a junior from Asheville, N.C., majoring in theatre arts. Her favorite theatre experience in the recent past was stage managing Catawba's fall production of "The Women." On this trip, she hopes "to overdose on London theatre everyday, then get up and do it all over again in the morning." |

Carrie Harris is a junior from Asheville, N.C., majoring in theatre arts and minoring in dance. She says that her favorite theatre experience thus far has been "performing in "The Last Journey of No. 6330" at Spencer Shops in Spencer, N.C." She calls that experience "the most incredible experience of my life." The London trip will be her first international experience and she "can't wait to see behind the scenes at historically prominent theatre spaces." |

Sean C. Henderson is a freshman at Catawba who now makes his home in Concord, N.C., although he lived in Switzerland until he was five years old. His theatre interest is in performance. He hopes this trip will allow him to learn "a lot about London's rich and exciting theatre history." |

Zachary Lynch is a junior from Fenwick Island, Delaware, who is pursuing a BFA in theatre arts performance, with a focus in directing. He notes that his favorite past theatre experience "has to be experiencing the different production possibilities available at London's National Theatre." On this London theatre trip, he anticipates broadening his "aesthetic awareness for theatricality through the historical experiences and performances we have the privilege of seeing while in the U.K." He says he is particularly looking forward to seeing the opera, "La Boheme." |

Mary Alice Nichols is a junior from Conyers, Ga., majoring in musical theatre who considers herself "lucky" to be able to participate in the London theatre trip. She was an actor in Catawba's student-directed production of "Electra" in February of 2009 and says that production gave her "the opportunity to join movement with theatre in a way I never had before." She is looking forward to the backstage tours planned during the London trip and says she is "mostly excited to learn about what London specifically has offered and continues to offer in the realm of theatre history." |

Vaughn Pollman is a sophomore from Overland Park, Kansas, who is pursuing a BFA in theatre arts major with a specification in design and production. His favorite theatre experience in the recent past was "traveling to Spencer Shops in Spencer, North Carolina for a performance of "The Last Journey of No. 6330"." During the upcoming trip to London, he says he is "looking forward to being immersed in a new culture, experiencing theatre abroad and viewing some of the most famous theatre spaces in the world." |

Luke Robinson is a senior from Monroe, N.C., who is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in theatre arts with a focus on technical production. His favorite theatre experience thus far was seeing a show at and touring the Minskoff Theater on Broadway. He anticipates that the London trip "will bring equally great, if not better memories" than his trip to NYC and the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. |
