Academics: A Semester Abroad in England

ENTRY 7

September 25, 2007
by Dr. Gordon Kingsley, Principal

Travel links with classroom.

Travel where?

Well, last weekend students went to York, Nottingham, Amsterdam, Cologne, Dublin, Chester, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol, Bath, Oxford, Dover, Stockholm, Boston.

A whole bunch of us stayed here, where it’s not too bad, really.

Then, tomorrow, after the first big British Studies exam, lots of folks head to Ireland on the college-sponsored trip. Others fan out across Britain and Europe.

It does beat hanging out in the parking lot at WalMart. And it is part of the deal, a very good place, where all the faculty are brilliant, all the students are above average, and the energy never stops.
