Marching bands from Rowan and surrounding counties converged on Catawba College's campus Saturday, October 7 to participate in the 2006 Lord Salisbury Marching Band Classic. Nine marching bands from area school systems registered to participate in the competition. They include Walter M. Williams High School, Burlington; Vance High School, Charlotte-Mecklenburg; West Iredell High School, Iredell; Mooresville High School, Iredell; North Rowan High School, Rowan; Jesse Carson High School, Rowan; Porter Ridge High School, Union; and Ledford High School, Davidson.
