Jacqueline E. FischerAssociate Director of Admissions
Hello students! My name is Jacqueline Fischer, and I am the Associate Director of Admissions here at Catawba College.
Though I am not a Cat-U graduate, I find a new reason every day that I should have been here for my own collegiate experience. I did, however, have a great experience at my alma mater, UNC-Pembroke where I graduated with a double major in Broadcasting and Public Relations in 2004. I was extremely involved with a variety of activities at UNCP, including the News Station, the yearbook and newspaper, SGA, Student Ambassadors and various academic clubs. I also spent a lot of time with my sisters in Zeta Tau Alpha, working for our philanthropy, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. At Catawba, we encourage our students to be just as involved as I was ... which is not hard with all of the opportunities we offer! I think that my colligate involvement is a component of the reason of why it is so easy for me to talk to you about what we have for you here at Catawba.
I work with students from the local area of Catawba College in Rowan County, west to Cleveland County ... basically, the Charlotte area. I am also excited to have the opportunity to recruit from my home area of Wilmington, NC, north along the NC Coast to the VA line (check out our interactive map to see if your county falls within my travel area).
I am looking forward to working with you during your application process to Catawba, so please do not hesitate to contact me! If you would like to receive more information about Catawba College, please complete our Information Request Form.
