Greetings, future Catawban! My name is Thomas Giles, and I am the Assistant Director of Admissions, Transfer Coordinator, and Athletic Liaison here at Catawba College.

I earned my B.A. in Communication Arts from Catawba in 2005 with an emphasis in Public Relations. I strongly believe that my internship on campus with the Public Relations department really amplified my knowledge and sharpened my skills for the real world. As an alumnus of this beautiful College, I played four years of baseball under the leadership of Coach Jim Gantt, and a transfer student myself! I was involved in numerous activities at Catawba, including the Editor of The Pioneer (student newspaper), Phi Epsilon (honor society), Homecoming King, a Resident Assistant, and a member of The Order of the Blue and White (honor society).  My message to you is, if you are seeking mentorship, leadership building skills, and a quality education to build your career, I encourage you to come and visit with me.

I work with all students seeking to transfer to Catawba College and with freshman students in areas along the NC/VA border near my hometown of Lynchburg, VA, as well as other areas in Virginia.
