"My name is Andie Overbeck Lynch. I am originally from Jamestown, North Carolina, but soon will be a resident of Mocksville, North Carolina. I graduated from Ragsdale High School in May of 2002. When looking at colleges, my parents made me come look at their alma mater, Catawba. I knew I didn't want to go where my parents went!  Boy was I wrong. I fell in love with the campus, faculty, and staff within a matter of minutes of stepping on campus.

At Catawba, I was a member of several organizations. I was a cheerleader, President of the Catawba Ambassadors, member of the Helen Foil Beard Society, part of the ALPHA group, and I was on the intramural staff. I also helped develop several programs for the Wellness Center on campus. I graduated in May of 2006 with a degree in Communications with a minor in speech. I met my husband at Catawba too (he's a '05 graduate).

When I picked Catawba, I didn't realize how much I would truly appreciate the school. I try and go back to campus as much as possible. I go to all of the home football games (and even some away) as well as other sporting events. I can't believe how much the school has changed in the short amount of time I've been away. It gives me great pleasure to be a part of such a distinguished institution. I only hope I can encourage more students to have the once in a lifetime experience of becoming a Catawba student."
