B.F.A., Musical Theatre

"Hi!! My name is Meredith Fox and I majored in Musical Theatre and minored in Dance and Music. I am now living in Arezzo, Italy where I am earning my Masters of Fine Arts in Physical Theatre at the Accademia dell'Arte. I am back in the states for about a month and a half during the Christmas holidays and the summer. I am originally from Elon, NC. I graduated from Western Alamance High School in 2003 and came to Catawba the following fall to study musical theatre, dance, and music.

During my 4 years at Catawba, I was very involved in the theatre program, the Blue Masque, Alpha Psi Omega, the Catawba Dance Ensemble, and Catawba Singers. I graduated in 2007 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and minors in Dance and Music.

Upon graduation, I began working in the Catawba Office of Admissions after deciding to try my hand at a profession outside of the performing arts before pursuing my graduate studies. It was a great privilege to give back to my alma mater by sharing my Catawba experience with prospective students as they started the next chapter in their lives. Through my experiences with the theatre program and working with Admissions, I found my calling in the world of higher education. I am now a graduate student in the MFA Physical Theatre program at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy and hope to one day become a college professor of theatre and dance; a dream that would not have surfaced without the help of the Catawba community."
