PHOTOS: Preview Day 2012 Preview Day is a comprehensive introduction for admitted and deposited students and their families. It is a fun day with various outside activities, so plan to dress casually and comfortably and don't forget your walking shoes!
Deposit Paid Student Perks
Every deposit paid student attending Preview Day will receive a/an:
- Class registration
- Catawba Student ID
- Catawba e-mail address
- Opportunity to request a roommate

Financial Aid Consultations

- Registration
To ensure we have enough time prepare you for the day's events, please plan to arrive at 8:00am.
- Welcome
You will be welcomed by Catawba's President, the Admissions team, and Alumni. We'll also review the list of the day's events.
- You Get Up How Early? (STUDENTS only)
Our "resident" expert helps students break the ice on finding the perfect roommate in this roommate selection presentation.
- Ask Away! (PARENTS only)
Parents will meet with current Catawba students, parents of current students, and recent alumni to see how Catawba has changed their lives.
- Take Your Mark, Get Set, GO! (STUDENTS only)
Following the Welcome session, students will split into Scavenger Hunt teams in front of Robertson College-Community Center. Your team will participate in a race against time as you charge through campus hoping to win the Grand Prize.
- How Much Did You Say?" (PARENTS only)
A billing & financial aid presentation.
- Get Your Registration (STUDENTS only)
Class registration for deposit-paid students as they meet with faculty advisors and leave that day with a class schedule. Submit your First-Year Academic Interests Form early so your advisor will have your info on hand on Preview Day. Classes are subject to change during First-Year orientation and are not guaranteed.
- Campus Comes Alive! (PARENTS)
During this time, parents will have the opportunity to drop in to various Student Service offices which include Dining Services, Health Services, Housing & Residence Life, Career Services, The Lilly Center for Vocation and Values, Public Safety, Counseling and Disabilities Services, Career Services and Academic Support, and the Information Technology department!
- Lunch
Join us for a NC style BBQ cookout featuring live music performed by current Catawba students. We invite you to enjoy frozen treats as wehonor the winning Scavenger Hunt team and give away prizes. Mingle with members of the Catawba faculty and staff and learn more about your area of academic interest! (Vegetarian options available.)
If you discover a new friend you may want to live with next year, please let our Residence Life staff know during lunch so they may grant your rooming request. Also, dorm rooms in Woodson and Salisbury-Rowan will be open for families to view during the afternoon.
