HOW DOES THE ONE Card WORK?
The ONE Card is an optional way for students, faculty, and staff to manage their expenses while at Catawba. It acts like a gift card or pre-paid debit card.
Monies credited to the card can be divided across three funds, namely the General Fund, the Bookstore Fund, and the Dining Services Fund. You may add money to any or all of these funds. The following table summarizes the key aspects of each of the three different ONE Card funds.

| Anywhere the ONE Card is accepted: Currently, this is the campus Bookstore, campus Dining Services, local merchants participating in the ONE Card program, and a copier located in the campus Library. In the future, it may include campus printers, additional copiers, vending, and other campus activities. NOTE: Students must purchase clothing, food, drinks, medicine, etc. from the Bookstore using their ONE Card: General Fund. |

Students can use their ONE Card: Bookstore Fund to purchase books, supplies, and materials related to books, as well as any rental of books, pencils, pens, paper, computer products, etc. |
All of the ways money can be added to the General fund, plus: An advance of any expected credit balance on your student account (up to the limit specified by the Catawba Business Office – currently $700 per term). * * This advance is now automatically transferred from your student account to the Bookstore Fund. Select on the link below for more details. |
Same as the General Fund, except that: An automated return of unused money in the Bookstore Fund to your student account will occur after the normal period to buy books has ended. The return will consist of any money that was transferred from an "expected" credit balance on your student account (as opposed to extra money that you added directly to your Bookstore Fund). Any credit balance on your student account as a result of this return may be refunded as provided by the policies of the Catawba Business Office. |

No refunds. The Dining Service fund is administered by Chartwells, and it is their policy to not refund money applied to the Dining Services Fund. Therefore, Catawba College recommends either adding small increments of money periodically over the school term, or using the General Fund. |
