The Psychology department at Catawba College has opened multiple windows of insight towards these topics. The department offers a great variety of courses to explore every inch of the psychological field. The classes are geared towards real life experiences and uses. I know that with an education from this department I will be more than sufficiently able in the multiple uses of a psychology degree."

I chose psychology as my major to be of service to people with drug and alcohol problems within the minimum security prison system. I mainly will be working with the female population. I see both psychology and sociology as a way of having an understanding this population. I may even go further in my education and become a minister. I see a possibility of being part of the prison ministry."
