Psychology Internships

Below are several recent and ongoing internships our Psychology students have participated in:
  • At the Research Campus: Recruited and researched infants/toddlers for Dr. Carol Cheatham's Nutrition and Cognition study on the effects of DHA on cognitive development

  • At Partners in Learning: Worked with autistic children and children with cerebral palsy, training and developing gross and fine motor skills and behavior modification protocols.

  • At the VA Hospital, this Fall: Internship at the VISN 6 Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC) conducting research on post deployment mental health, with a focus on mild traumatic brain injury and posttraumatic stress disorder. Several research protocols are ongoing — questionnaires, clinical interviews, neuropsychological testing, and brain imaging.
