Who is considered a professional?

A professional is anyone whose sole income (50% or more) comes from the profession of a singer. Examples include: vocal coach, professional opera singer, professional singer (someone with a manager), or someone that has released a major CD, such as Catawba graduate Dennis Reed). If you are still unsure, please feel free to contact us and a desison will be made on a case-by-case basis.



Is the competition open to only Salisbury/Rowan County residents?

No, the competition is open to anyone that is able and willing to come to Salisbury, NC. It is open to anyone in the nation.



What payment methods are accepted for entry fees?

If you register before noon on April 20th, you can pay online using a major credit card or PayPal. However, if you register after noon on April 20th, you will be required to use the late registration the day of the event (April 21st) and pay the late registration fee ($15) by cash or check ONLY. Credit cards will NOT be accepted for late registration.
