Politics Overview

In the area of politics, students are exposed to the principles and dynamics of organizations, political thinking and political behavior, and public policy.

When students major in politics, they can choose from a wide variety of courses and topics: from terrorism to American campaigns and elections, globalization to civil liberties and rights, governing institutions to public policies. These, along with a number of other courses, are designed to give students an appreciation of the scientific study of politics and government, and to be able to describe, explain, and predict political behavior at the international, national, and local levels.
